The πππ»π±π²πΏ π ππ‘πΌπΏπΆππΆπ²π ππ» π£π΅πππΆπ°π (πππ ππ‘π-π£) group, newly established in 2020, aims to promote and support the presence and contributions of gender minorities within the Physics, Engineering Physics and Astronomy Department at Queenβs University.
We are hosting our very first Pride event on June 25th from 7 - 9pm EDT.
The event will begin with a panel of 2SLGBTQ+ people (undergraduate student, graduate student, postdoc, faculty, and a staff member). There will then be a performance by Rowena Whey (a local drag queen)! Drag shows are educational and entertaining events that are common in the 2SLGBTQ+ community, we hope that this will give the opportunity to learn from and participate in this cultural experience. Finally, there will a socializing happy hour portion.
There is an optional 'Best Pride Outfit' competition and a prize will be awarded! So please dress up in your best Pride attire!
Please RSVP below and let us know if you have any questions for the panel! There will be opportunities to ask live questions as well.
