We developed this HR Storefront in partnership with IT Services to support the Institute’s strategic vision around enabling work and improving processes.
This HR Storefront was formally launched in July 2020 and will continue to be built out with further Human Resources service offerings throughout the year.
The Storefront is a portal through which BCIT employees can submit service requests for common HR questions or changes. This Storefront requires login using your A# and normal BCIT password.
Currently the Storefront contains a number of common Banner change requests. Examples include: Contact Information Updates, Leaves, Departures, Supervisor Changes, Allowances, etc. The plan over the next year is to incorporate more HR service offerings into the Storefront.
The requestor will receive an email acknowledging the request and providing a case number. The request then populates in HR’s queue and is assigned to an HR representative to support the request. The HR representative will correspond with you on the case as needed. Once the case is closed, you will receive confirmation that the work has been completed through a confirmation email.
Yes – anyone with an active A# will be able to submit requests. You will notice that some forms require approvals to be processed. If an employee submits a request, they will receive the updates on the case directly, while if someone submits a request on behalf of an employee, that individual will receive the updates.
