News for this week...
Information for next week
In anticipation of a CUPE strike on Monday, November 21, we are sending home technology with students who have been identified by their teachers as needing technology in the event we need to go to on-line learning. If your child was identified as needing technology and did not receive a device today, devices will be available for pick up at the school on Monday, November 21 (9:00 - 3:00). We are very much hoping for fair settlement on the weekend, but need to be prepared just in case. We're going day to day so please ensure you are checking the Limestone DSB website and/or Twitter for up to date information. In the event of a CUPE strike, our school will be closed to students, families and community members. In the event things are settled prior to Monday, students are to bring the devices with their charging cables back to school.
Teachers will be assigning asynchronous work for Monday and doing a check in on that day to see if everyone is ready to go in case we need to pivot to a synchronous learning timetable (on-line meets) on Tuesday. Please ensure you check your email for communication from your child's teachers.
REMINDERS
- supervision on the yard starts at 8:40 a.m. - please do not send your children to school prior to that time
- the snow is here! We love playing in the snow so it's important that students are dressed properly. Extra mitts/socks are always great to put in the backpack! Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need help with winter wear for your child(ren)
- if your child is not attending school, please ensure you use school messenger to put in their absence, otherwise the school will call out.
- parking on Clergy St. -Please ensure that you are not blocking corners, or pulling up on the opposite side of the street to pick up or drop off children. With the snow coming, we need to be extra cautious in this busy portion of the street and not block any safety sightlines. We do not have a bus coming at the moment, so we have created more space for pick up and drop off. Please consider the safety of students when parking.
Thank you for all you do to support our school, our staff, our community,
all the best,
Mrs Diamond and Mrs. Marshall
