Elementary
Visual arts students will create and present original art works. Students will reflect, respond and analyze to communicate feelings and ideas presented in a variety of art works. They will also explore forms, styles and socio-cultural and historical contexts.
Secondary
Studio instruction may include: drawing, design, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, canvas painting, and mural painting.
Students will have multiple opportunities for public showcases of studio art in addition to having the opportunity to connect with professionals in the visual arts community. Students will also develop their own art portfolio which will aid in their efforts to pursue art and design at the post-secondary level.
