Media Arts is only open to students auditioning for entrance in Grade 9.
Students will explore new media, emerging and relevant new technologies, and a variety of traditional media art forms. Students will explore the fields of photography, video, animation and graphic design. They will be introduced to Creative Cloud and learn techniques in Lightroom, Photoshop and Illustrator.
A highlight for students is learning how to digitally paint and begin their Independent Media Art Projects. Future pathways for Media Arts students often include post-secondary programs in Film, Video, Animation, Photography and Creative Industries.
