PROJECT
As part of More, Faster: The Action for Health Build, the QEII Halifax Infirmary Expansion Project is the largest healthcare infrastructure project considered in Nova Scotia. Reflecting the needs of a growing population, the new acute care tower at the Halifax Infirmary will feature 216 beds, 16 operating rooms, an intensive care unit and a new, larger emergency department.
Completion of the acute care tower in 2030 will enable services to be relocated from aging facilities like the Victoria General Hospital and Dickson Centre to new, state-of-the-art buildings and renovated program spaces.
