For over 50 years, The Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) at Carleton University has been training Canada’s best and brightest graduate students in international affairs. We have well over 2,100 alumni, many of whom have gone on to key leadership positions in the Canadian federal and provincial public service, foreign governments, international organizations, and the private and not-for-profit sectors.

NPSIA offers the most comprehensive, advanced degree programs in international affairs at the Masters and Doctoral levels in Canada. The NPSIA program is interdisciplinary, reflecting the philosophy that exposure to a wide range of disciplines such as political science, economics, law, sociology, public health and history is necessary to develop an understanding of our complex global environment.
