The Local Authorities Election Act requires municipalities to report candidate nomination information and official election results to Municipal Affairs. In support of these elections and reporting requirements, the Elections Database was developed to allow municipalities to directly report the nomination information and election results to Municipal Affairs in an easy to use, and time efficient manner.
The session will provide step by step instruction on how to submit
- official candidate information by noon on Candidate Nomination Day;
- unofficial election results upon the completion of the ballot count on election day; and
- official results on the 4th day after the municipal election.
