Anchoring the new arts and culture district, the Port Campus (1107 Marginal Road) is a successful brown-field development that incorporates most of the original warehouse structure while housing safe and efficient teaching spaces. Students, artists and the community at large are benefitting from the experience and precision of this modern industrial setting. The uninterrupted view of the harbour from its second floor studios through 172 feet of glass curtain wall is without doubt the best in Halifax.

In addition to the many first-year (foundation) classes and studios that are held at the Port, the three-storey steel and concrete structure houses the school’s more industrial art, design and craft practices. With wood and metal fabrication shops, sculpture studio, plastics lab and foundry, and a full floor dedicated to ceramics; you're sure to get your hands busy here! The first floor is also home to the Port Loggia Gallery and Treaty Space Gallery, an expansion of NSCAD’s exhibition programming.

What will I see at the Port Campus?

Foundation Studies, Sculpture, Metalworking, Ceramics, Woodworking, Bronze Casting, Mould Making and more!

Where can I park?
The Halifax Seaport has ample parking. There is a pay and display lot in front of Pier 20 (The Seaport Market), and another in front of Pier 22 and 23. Additionally, there is metered parking along Marginal Road.
