About our Support Groups

The Alzheimer Society offers support groups for people with dementia and caregivers that can improve quality of life and the ability to cope with the challenges of the disease. Saskatchewan dementia support groups are offered in a variety of formats: in-person, virtual (by Zoom), hybrid (can attend in-person or virtually by Zoom) and telephone.

Alzheimer Society support groups offer a chance to:

  • Exchange information and friendship with others living with and affected by dementia
  • Access the most current information
  • Learn and share practical tips for coping with change
  • Decrease feelings of loneliness and isolation
  • Express feelings and be reassured that these feelings are normal
  • Find a sense of hope
