Community COVID Recovery Micro-Grants

Background:

Participation in physical activity and quality sport is important for overall health and well-being. It is well known that COVID and the pandemic disrupted sport participation. Additional concern is that the pandemic has exacerbated the decrease of volunteers needed to help run sport programs at the club and community level. Even before the pandemic the load on volunteers and local sport organizations was considerable.

The microgrants will be used to support the costs associated with rebuilding or activating quality sport  programs in a sustainable manner and ensuring that these programs consist of good programs, led by good people, in good places. The focus will be on programs for the Long-Term Development in Sport and Physical Activity (LTD) Stages of Fundamentals, Learn to Train, Train to Train and Competitive for Life.
