Schedule adjusted for final window of FIBA AmeriCup 2022 Qualifiers in February

MIAMI (United States) – The games schedule for the final FIBA AmeriCup 2022 Qualifiers window has been adjusted due to the non-participation of the national teams of Brazil and Cuba.

Following Cuba’s failure to reach San Juan (Puerto Rico), both games between Cuba and Canada, as well as the game between Cuba and Dominican Republic will not be played during the February window.

Brazil, on the other hand, had its entrance to Colombia denied due to restrictions imposed by the national health authorities. Both games Panama – Brazil and Paraguay – Brazil will not be played during the February window.

The status of these five games will be decided at a later stage.

All the games will be taking place between February 17th and 22nd, and they will be played in a protected environment (bubbles) in order to ensure the health and safety of all participants.

The top three teams from each Group will qualify for the FIBA AmeriCup 2022. FIBA will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and communicate any further updates regarding its competitions if necessary.
