3x3 City-Wide Tournament
From October to April, 650 participants and 40 youth coaches across 11 neighbourhoods are learning team play through 3x3 basketball. This tournament is the culmination of Lay-Up’s 22-week school year program where youth from across the city can meet one another, play and compete.
Date: Saturday, April 27th, 2024
Location: GTA Sportsplex (8301 Keele St. Concord)
Time: 9:00 - 4:00 PM
Throughout the day, participants will be involved in tournament games, mini challenges, and culture of basketball activities. Participant transportation, snacks and lunch will be provided.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This tournament is open for kids in Grades 4 - 9. Participants MUST already be registered in our current school-year programs to participate.
Submitting your interest to register does not guarantee a spot in the tournament. We will provide an update on your registration status by the week of March 11th, 2024.

Lay-Up school-year programs are designed to develop fitness, basketball, and life skills in a space where youth can safely connect and compete. It includes LUNCH and AFTER-SCHOOL programs.

Lay-Up x Beyond 3:30
In partnership with the Toronto Foundation for Student Success, we provide basketball program at beyond 3:30 sites across the city.
Locations include Brookview Middle School, Carleton Village Jr & Sr Sports Wellness Academy, Dixon Grove Jr Middle School, Joseph Brant Public School and Lawrence Heights Middle School.
To attend, you must be a student at that school and registered in their beyond 3:30 program.
Summer Program
Lay-Up Summer Day Camps provide kids aged 6-14 with fun, engaging activities rooted in the sport and culture of basketball in a supportive environment. Led by a team of qualified and experienced coaches, activities will include basketball skill development and creative workshops. All programs are cost-free, and Lay-Up provides kids with everything they need to participate (basketball, water bottle, etc.), lunches and snacks, and a jersey.

Crossover Program
The basketball industry in Toronto is growing and opportunities to work in and around the game are increasing. The Lay-Up Crossover program is for youth ages 15-29 who want to develop new skills and work in the basketball industry. Participants in Crossover are paid for the time while receiving valuable certifications, key creative industry skills and incredible networking opportunities.

Photobook Workshop Series
Lay-Up is excited to announce the Photo Book Workshop Series supported by the Toronto Arts Council.
Led by a team of professional photographers (Dhani Oks, Ebti Nabag, Kishan Mistry, and Nyaomi), participants will be a part of the creation of a photobook, learning the process from start to finish.
This program is for Lay-Up participants 12+ and all equipment and resources needed will be provided.

Sneaker Authentication Workshop
Lay-Up is thrilled to offer our first Sneaker Authentication Workshop in partnership with eBay Sneakers Canada.
Through this workshop, participants will learn how to tell the real from the fake in the world of sneakers and will be introduced to the rapidly growing sneaker resell market.
Featuring Josh B. Scott (Authentication Specialists - eBay Canada) and Shireen Edross (Head of Sneakers - eBay Canada), this workshop will bring you deep into the exciting world of the rarest and most sought after sneakers.

Home Challenges
Lay-Up Home Challenges is a unique way for youth to stay active, work on their skills, and stay connected!
Participants have access to follow-along basketball-specific workouts with instructions, cues, feedback, and a visual example of each exercise/activity conducted by experienced and qualified coaches, along with the timer to ensure that the challenges are completed correctly and safely.
