THE BRITISH COLUMBIA MUSIC FESTIVAL COLLECTIVE (BCMFC) WAS FORMED IN APRIL 2020 AT THE ONSET OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC TO PROVIDE A COMMON VOICE AND SHARED SPACE TO BC’S MUSIC FESTIVAL INDUSTRY. OUR MEMBERS INCLUDE NON-PROFITS, FOR-PROFITS, AND MULTIPLE GENRE AND SIZE FESTIVALS FROM DIVERSE GEOGRAPHIC REGIONS. MEMBERSHIP IS OPEN TO ANY MUSIC FESTIVAL BASED IN BC.

BC Festival Symposium at BreakOut West

BC Festival Symposium: October 13th & 14th

BC Touring Council and BC Music Festival Collective are joining together to offer the BC Festival Symposium. The BC Festival Symposium is a gathering of festivals from across BC and an opportunity to get to know other festival organizers, artistic directors, and producers from across the province. We will be hosting round table discussions, presenting inspiring speakers, and most importantly offering opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and networking.

We invite you to join us at this exciting new event which will be held, for its inaugural year, at BreakOut West. This will give you the unique opportunity to attend their showcase events while networking with other festivals and industry professionals.

BreakOut West (October 11-15, 2023)

Breakout West features an immersive music industry and artist development conference and a festival with 50+ artists performing across multiple venues. The festival highlights Western Canadian talent alongside select International and Canadian artists. https://breakoutwest.ca/

How to Register

To register for the BC Festival Symposium, you must register for BreakOut West and use the special promo code on checkout. Members of BC Music Festival Collective and/or the BC Touring. Council will receive a 10% discount and an additional 15% when you provide the promo code.
