Study Permit Application and Refund Policy

If you don't submit before November 26, 2023, one of the following:

  • Proof of a refusal letter
  • Proof of study permit approval
  • Deferral Request

You will not be eligible for a refund of the confirmation deposit.

If you don't start your program or drop your courses by January 19, 2024.

You will not be eligible for a refund of the tuition and fees paid.

Important Reminders

Travel window date

There is no set time frame for you to arrive in Canada before you begin your studies. You should just arrive to give yourself a reasonable amount of time to prepare before you start studying. You are not allowed to work on or off campus until you begin your studies in Canada. Students will need to provide evidence to demonstrate that they have the means to support themselves as a temporary resident in Canada. Check more here.

Please note: no tuition refunds after the add/drop deadline.

Bow Valley College does not offer on or off-campus housing, however we offer a list of resources for housing options.

  • If you are currently studying in a post-secondary program at BVC, please register for your courses via mybvc to ensure your enrolments and fees are processed appropriately.

  • If you anticipate applying for a student loan, your payment will be refunded to you based on your loan award once your funding has been received by BVC.
