Canada finished in sixth place at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015. Following a memorable opening-day victory, Canada won Group A with five points. Canada then won their Round of 16 match 1:0 over Switzerland, but lost their quarter final 1:2 to England. Centre back Kadeisha Buchanan was named a tournament All-Star and took home the Hyundai Best Young Player award.
