RESCHEDULED! CISV Ottawa - Silly Chili Registration (May 14th, 2022)
We’re pleased to announce that we've rescheduled our 2022 Silly Chili event to Saturday, May 14 and moved to a new, outdoor venue in Vincent Massey Park. We've reserved a large picnic area, including a gorgeous covered shelter!

This year, our annual Silly Chili dinner has a twist: we’re going to provide the food and we're asking everyone to pay-what-you-can to raise funds to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.

Join us for an afternoon and evening of food, fun, and interesting activities celebrating CISV, peace education and Ukrainian culture for the whole family!

Here are the key details - note all of this information will be provided in your confirmation email.

1) WHEN: May 14th, 2022 from 4pm to 7pm.

2) WHERE: Vincent Massey Park, off of Heron Road and Riverside Drive beside the Rideau River.
We'll be in Picnic Area F and Shelter S1 in the southwest corner - see this map for details: https://ncc-website-2.s3.amazonaws.com/documents/Vincent-Massey-Park_Map_v2020.pdf.

3) HOW TO GET THERE: The park is easily accessible by bike, bus and car (paid parking onsite). For more details see https://ncc-ccn.gc.ca/places/vincent-massey-park.

4) COST: Pay what you can. The recommended minimum donation is $20 per person or $60 per family. All proceeds will be donated to the UCC-CUF Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

5) WHAT'S ON THE MENU: Chili (of course!), Ukrainian perogies, hot dogs and more!

6) WHAT TO BRING: Yourself, a reusable dish and cup and utensils (we'll have some if you forget).

7) WHAT NOT TO BRING: No pets or alcohol are permitted in the park.

8) COVID: We are asking that all participants 5 and over are fully vaccinated. We will follow or exceed Ottawa Public Health recommendations for COVID safety for an outdoor event. Additional details below.

Please Note:
- Check in starts at 3:45pm and activities start at 4:15pm. Dinner will start at 5:45pm.
- Feel free to come early and leave late: we have this section of the park booked all day!
- Unlike previous years this is not a potluck: our volunteers will prepare a simple meal for your enjoyment. Vegetarian and gluten free options will be available upon request.
