Testing Centre and COVID-19 Safety Plans Update

Update: COVID-19 Testing Centre to Close

The on-campus COVID-19 Testing Centre, formerly located in the Education Gym and more recently in the Katzman Lounge of Vanier Hall, will close after Thursday, April 28.

With the onset of the omicron variant, the testing centre was available to staff for asymptomatic testing prior to working on campus.

To date, more than 1,800 tests were administered, providing an important layer of protection against COVID-19 transmission.

Rapid Test Kits Available for Pick Up

Starting Monday, May 2, students, staff and faculty can book an appointment to pick up a rapid test kit using the uwindsor.ca/covidtest reservation system.

(southeast of the cul de sac)

Monday 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Tuesday 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Update: COVID-19 Safety Plans and related on-campus protocols

Effective May 1, 2022, departmental COVID-19 Safety Plans will be suspended until further notice. However, the following safeguards will remain in place:

University of Windsor Mandatory Mask Policy has been extended until at least May 31, 2022.

Monitor for symptoms daily. Stay home if you are not feeling well.

Plexiglass barriers will remain in classrooms and may be used by instructors as they see fit. As per the mask policy, instructors may remove their masks when standing behind these barriers.

Other plexiglass barriers, such as those installed on desks, service kiosks and reception areas are to remain in place until further notice.

Practice good hand and respiratory hygiene. Hand sanitizer and masks will remain available in campus spaces.

Distancing (leave a space) where possible.
