Provincial Stay-at-home Order Extended
As announced by the Government of Ontario today, the provincial emergency and stay-at-home order has now been extended until at least June 2, 2021. The University of Windsor mandates that employees who are able to work remotely from home continue to do so.

Services
  • Listing of Available and Remote Services
  • UWindsor Campus Bookstore will continue to fill orders through curbside pickup and mail
  • Leddy Library continues to offer curbside pickup Monday to Friday from 9am – 4pm
  • Pharmacy, Dentist and other third party vendors within CAW available by appointment only
  • Food Pantry at CAW Centre will remain open by appointment only
  • Experiential Learning/Co-op placements remain as arranged
  • Student Health Services continue to be available remotely, call 519-973-7002 to book a telephone appointment

Staffing
  • Continue with a "Critical Workers" model only for on-campus staff
  • Rotational shifts as per notification from your supervisor
  • Visits to campus are for critical purposes only and must be approved
  • Staff approved to go on campus must complete the Safe Lancer App or online Self-Assessment questionnaire prior to heading to campus

Research
  • Researchers to reduce personnel, number of hours spent on campus and after-hours activities as much as possible
  • Adhere to safe work practices as previously established
  • Until further notice, there will be no new training of personnel for research purposes
  • No new projects will be approved by the Research Safety Committee unless COVID-19 related
  • The Research Ethics Board will continue to review and clear new applications that do not involve in-person data collection requiring breach of physical distancing
  • Students, Staff and Faculty approved for research must complete the Safe Lancer App or online Self-Assessment questionnaire prior to heading to campus

Residence
  • Students must adhere to stay-at-home order restrictions
 
Construction
  • Current on-campus construction projects continue to proceed as planned

It is required that all approved staff and faculty working in shared spaces and/or with face to face interactions, or those cleaning high touch contacts/areas, wear eye protection (face shield, safety glasses, goggles or equivalent) and a 3-ply procedural mask. These items can be obtained through the Chemical Control Centre.

The province's stay-at-home order and existing public health restrictions are aimed at limiting mobility in order to reduce the potential spread and health impacts of COVID-19.
