Safe Lancer App Updates Enhance Convenience
The Safe Lancer App is set to receive important updates to streamline the required health screening process.

The first phase of the update will be implemented on Tuesday, July 13 and will require faculty, staff and students to use their UWinID to log into the app. Visitors and external parties can continue to use the app without logging in.

During this phase, please continue to forward or demonstrate your green, "Approved" badge as required. Remember, if you receive a "Denied" red badge, do not come to campus.
In Fall 2021, the second phase of the update will be implemented and the app will automatically forward self-assessment questionnaire results to Supervisors/Deans, eliminating the need to forward the badge manually.
In order to facilitate this automation of the screening process and to meet provincial legislative requirements, screening questionnaire data will now be viewable by Health & Safety, if required, for contact tracing and/or COVID-19 related follow-up. Limited ITS personnel will have access to the data through management of the University's contact-tracing database. Screening data will be deleted automatically, after 30 days.

For more information, review the University of Windsor's Notice of Disclosure Confidentiality and Use of Personal Information (FIPPA).
