A Quality of Life Study

CCTG SC27: Living with Cancer in the Time of COVID-19

A cohort study of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on cancer patients during treatment and survivors

The current COVID-19 pandemic is significantly changing how Canadians live, work and interact with one another. In the area of healthcare, provincial cancer care agencies have had to develop pandemic plans for patient appointments, treatment and follow-up procedures that protect patients. This has resulted in delays and changes for surgery, treatment, and follow-up for cancer patients. However, some changes such as inclusion of virtual appointments may also be good and may turn out to be a useful change for the future.
