Parliamentary procedure is a list of rules used to help run meetings democratically and efficiently. Parliamentary procedure is a list of rules used to help run meetings democratically and efficiently. Most Canadian unions, including CUPE, use Bourinot’s Rules of Order. CUPE’s Parliamentary Procedure Kit contains tools to help locals chair their meetings. You can download the tools below or order the box set.

Sign up for the Parliamentary Procedure workshop to learn more about rules, chairing and to practice your skills.  For more information, go to CUPE Education and speak to your Servicing Representative.
