The yearly
required Certification Clinics will be offered online again this year. This format allows more flexibility for the umpires and is expected to have 5 sections to complete with multiple dates which we expect will be announced in early 2023. We will update you on those dates and registration when this is set up.
The mechanic's portion of the online clinic requires gym or field time. Those who attend the Winter Clinics will receive credit for the mechanic's portion of their certification. For new umpires, you are encouraged to attend all the sessions which consists of 8 sessions.
For returning umpires and those requiring refreshers, there are 3 mandatory sections to attend. Plate Mechanics, One Umpire System, Two Umpire System. [this is 4 nights. Plate: day 2, 1 umpire, day 3, 2 umpire, day 5 & 6 of the clinic] *If you are an experienced umpire needing the clinic, let me know if you wish to assist the drills as an option.
There are plans to offer on field Mechanic's sessions before the season [Softball BC] but these may be limited and will be on a fixed date only. Winter Clinics are a more flexible option if available to you and are offered free of charge.
Delta Fastpitch is working with other Associations providing Winter Clinics.

RGSA Winter Clinics Sunday, January 8th starting at 6 pm, and running for 8 weeks. Richmond dates are January 8, 15, 22, 29,
February 5, 12, 26, and Mar.5th at Steveston London Secondary School [Gym, entrance at ball field side of school], 6600 Williams Rd, Richmond, BC. Lead clinician will be David Bailey.
* A few other clinics are available out of our area in the Lower Mainland if required, let me know and I can assist you.
What to bring?
Water Bottle, Face Mask recommended, Indicator (if you have one) and wear runners with comfortable clothing for physical movement.
