Kamloops Fire Centre bans and restrictions

View all bans and restrictions for the Kamloops Fire Centre, which spans between Blue River in the north to the U.S. border in the south and from Bridge River in the west to Monashee Mountains in the east, including the Southern Okanagan and the Lytton and Lillooet area.

Current Kamloops fire prohibitions

Effective at 12 p.m. (noon) PDT on Friday, May 3, 2024, Category 3 open burning will be prohibited across the entire Kamloops Fire Centre.

Effective at 12 p.m. (noon) PDT on Friday, May 17, 2024, in addition to the already prohibited Category 3 open fires, Category 2 open fires, as well as other equipment and activities, will be prohibited throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre.

Before lighting a fire of any size, please check with your local jurisdiction (municipality, First Nations, etc.) as they may have their own restrictions in place.

There are currently no area restrictions in the Kamloops Fire Centre.
