Junior Women’s National Team Head Coach

We are seeking a Canadian based Head Coach for the Women’s Junior National Field Hockey Team. In collaboration with FHC’s High Performance Director, the Head Coach is responsible for the design, content and implementation of a comprehensive training, competition, and monitoring program for the Junior Women’s National program. This is a long-term appointment for a 2-year period towards the 2025 Junior World Cup, and possibly beyond. Within this scope, it is the responsibility of the Head Coach to work within the policies and procedures established by Field Hockey Canada. The role is supported by, and reports into the High Performance Director (HPD). The program will be predominately camp based. The job also demands times of ‘centralization’ with Domestic & International travel.

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR – MASTERS HOCKEY

Reporting to the CEO or assignee, the Administrative Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to FHC Masters operations. This includes leading the coordination of clothing and equipment, administering the registration processes and payments within FHC’s database, facilitating communications; and coordinating the effective and efficient operations of the administrative function of FHC. The role will support international and domestic travel and events.

Primarily roles and responsibilities include:

  • Primarily supporting the administration needs of FHC’s Masters program, the role will work closely with FHC’s team and where necessary may provide additional support to national team, next generation (NextGen) and other programs and services.
  • Time sensitive processing of action points
  • Maintaining organizational calendar including meeting schedules
  • Coordinating development of the annual reports; grant reporting and applications as needed
  • Tracking clothing, equipment and inventory
  • Administering certificates of insurance requests as required
  • The management of FHC Masters tours will include the transportation of equipment for camps and delivery of clothing for tours so access to a vehicle will be required.
  • Ideally, the candidate will have flexibility in their availability to support Masters Hockey during peak periods.
  • Providing ongoing support and coverage for staff within the organization.

NEXTGEN ADMINISTRATOR

Field Hockey Canada is seeking a capable and mature NextGen Administrator provide support to the organization’s NextGen operations. This position is based in Vancouver or the lower mainland of BC. Reporting to the Director of Performance Operations and the High Performance Director.

The NextGen Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to FHC NextGen operations. This includes the coordination of tours, clothing and equipment, facilitating communications; and coordinating the effective and efficient operations of the administrative function of FHC.

Primarily roles and responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the administration needs of FHC’s youth and junior national teams
  • Coordinate and liaise with athletes including communication, documentation, scheduling and personal data updates and compliance
  • Preparatory tasks for tour and camps
  • Organize all tour documentation (visas, security, vaccinations, insurance, travel, accreditation, code of conduct forms etc).
  • Tracking all clothing, equipment and inventory as well as milestones
  • Delivering equipment and clothing as required, for Youth and NextGen Programs
  • Administering certificates of insurance requests and claims as required
  • Providing ongoing support and coverage for staff within the organization
