Connection Crew 2021-2022 Application
Our Goal:  Make a strong "CONNECTION" with our new Grade 9 students so that they feel welcome as Blazers at Bayridge and a part of the school community.  The transition from Grade 8 to 9 is a big step.  YOU can help student feel like they belong at Bayridge.

Being a member of Connection Crew means being a student mentor, a role  model, a true Blazer that ROCKS, and a leader with whom students can connect.

PLEASE NOTE:  Being a Connection Crew Leader is not a task to take lightly.  It is a year-round commitment to our Gr. 9 Blazers - this means that you are needed for the ENTIRE YEAR.  Some weeks will require more commitment than others - some months more than others too.  We, as Connection Crew Staff Leaders, need to know that we can depend on you when we need you.  That means that when we call - you show up and put your best foot forward.

Last year, the vast majority of our Connection Crew events were virtual due to pandemic restrictions.  We are not entirely sure what our next school year will look like yet, but whether we are in-person or virtual - the show must go on!  If you are signing up to become a Connection Crew Leader - we need you to be prepared for the possibility of either option.

Important Dates:  Dates at this point are all To Be Determined.  Information will be communicated as soon as we know more.  Connection Crew Training usually takes place in the final week of August (before school starts again) and the Grade 9 Orientation follows this training.  You would be REQUIRED to clear your schedule to be present for all of this training and orientation day, as well as commitments during the remainder of the school year.

If you would like to be a part of our Connection Crew for 2020-2021 school year please fill out this Google Form by Wednesday, June 9th, 2021.

You will receive volunteer hours for your time as a Connection Crew Leader.
