What is our hiring process?

1. Application
Our career site will provide you with a list of all available job openings at a given time.  After submitting your resume our Human Resources team will review your application to see if it meets the requirements for the position.
2. Initial Phone Call
This phone call is when we want to learn more about you. This is the perfect time for you to share what motivates you, ask any questions, and find out whether Inland Steel Products is the right fit for you. At this time, we want to be able to answer any initial questions you may have and provide insights into the company you may join.
3. Interview
If selected for an interview you will be contacted by a member of our Human Resources team. The interview process varies based on the role you are being considered for. You can expect two to three rounds of interviews via video conferencing or in person. If you advance through the process, you will meet several members of our team.
4. Offer
If you are receiving an offer, you will be notified as quickly as possible. All offers will be in writing. We encourage that you review your offer closely and ask questions to the members of our team you met throughout the hiring process.

FAQ

Our recruitment process can take anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks. This can depend on the position itself and the complexity of the interviews required.
We encourage you to apply for roles that closely match your skills, experience, and knowledge. Then if a position you are a good fit for opens up in the future, we can reconnect to discuss it.

Most of our interviews will be conducted in person. When scheduling requires, we will take advantage of the video conferencing app Microsoft Teams.
Yes. Upon reaching the final stages of the interview process we will perform reference checks and a criminal record check. This is done to protect Inland Steel products employees, customers, company assets and our brand. We also want to make sure we only employ individuals with proven records and sufficient level of integrity and honesty.
