Restored 1984 Carver 3607 Aft Cabin Flybridge

Skylark entered dry dock in the fall of 2018 for a planned two year restoration. Extensive structural repairs were completed along with updated plumbing and electrical, new holly and teak floors, custom built furniture, new lounge stereo and smart TV, new hot water tank, new pump for AC/Heat and through a sub-contractor new indoor/outdoor carpet was laid throughout the two private cabins and the Flybridge/aft deck. A completely new full canvas enclosure for the Flybridge and Aft deck was installed, flybridge seating was reupholstered, custom seating for the dinette was installed along with a custom L shape couch and slipcovers for two original Carver swivel chairs. Full Engine and transmission rebuilds were completed in 2020. A new 7.3KW Kohler Generator was also installed in 2020.

Skylark was recommissioned in August of 2020. Upon recommissioning, Dinghy Caddy was installed on the swim platform to accommodate the owners purchase of a nearly new Mercury inflatable with 20HP Suzuki Outboard engine. Lastly, this summer a 3500 Watt Charger/Inverter was installed for the house batteries.

The Carver 3607 is viewed as one of the best designed boats of its size. With two staterooms and two heads, it is often selected as a “live aboard” with ample room for a couple to live and entertain family and friends. The dinette folds down into a queen size bed and along with the two private cabins offers comfortable accommodations for 6 adults. The trawler style hull makes the 3607 very stable in rough water and extremely fuel efficient when cruising at 7 knots. When you want to “get up and go” the twin 455’s quickly get Skylark on plane with a speed of over 18 Knots at 3200 rpm.

Skylark, with an overall length of 40ft and a gorgeous dark blue hull is a one of a kind restoration offering a luxurious boating experience for a fraction of the cost of a new similarly sized boat.
