Looking for your "gold"
Written by TLC Senior Learning Designer, Ken Harmel

Do you think we can find some positive teaching stories that came out of 2021? It would follow up on this intro. 金, or kin, meaning “gold” or “money” was announced in Japan’s annual tradition to name the kanji of the year for 2021. It initially referred to Japan’s record gold medal haul in the 2020 Olympics, but it has since become more personalized. Japanese citizens are reflecting upon their own personal “gold”, they have achieved in the past year. Let’s reflect on your golden achievements over the past year, such as those special teaching accomplishments, or simple moments guiding students on their path to success. If you read on, perhaps you may connect with some of the “gold” found in these articles that you can carry with you into 2022.
