Biography

2023-24 SEASON:
  • Led all OUA defencemen with 1.20 points per game
  • Despite missing eight league games due to a preseason game injury, he posted a 4-20-24 record in 20 games, only one point shy of being the top-point-scoring defencemen
  • Three of his four goals were game-winners in OVERTIME (a 6-5 win over Waterloo, Nov. 18; a 4-3 win over Windsor, Jan. 6; a 4-3 win over Ottawa, Jan. 19)
  • A big factor in leading McGill to the top power-play in the OUA (34.0%, ranked 2nd in U SPORTS), he tied for second among OUA defencemen with 12 power-play points
  • Also a major factor in helping McGill penalty-killing unit to an 89.4 per cent success rate, which led both the OUA & U SPORTS
  • An alternate captain with McGill, he leads the team in minutes played with an average of 25 minutes per game
  • Played for U SPORTS all-stars against the Canadian world junior hopefuls (Dec., 2023)
  • Attended two rookie camps with Tampa Bay Lightning (June 2023 and Sept. 2023)
  • Recipient of McGill’s 1938 Champions Award (Nov. 2023), presented for combining leadership with athletic and academic excellence
  • Organized team participation in a “Run for the Cure” fundraiser in honour of his roommate’s mother, who passed away from cancer
  • Served as a team mentor for freshmen
  • Volunteered for a McGill Athletics “thank-a-thon”, which entailed calling donors to thank them for their support
 
PRIOR TO 2023-24 SEASON:
  • OUA EAST first team all-star (2022-23)
  • OUA East True Sport Award (2022-23)
  • Had five assists in seven games while playing for U SPORTS all-star team that won gold at the FISU World University Games in Lake Placid, NY (Jan. 2023)
  • Played for a University all-star team against Montreal Canadiens rookie team (Sept., 2021)
  • Principal’s Student-athlete Honour Roll
  • U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian
  • Two time Team MVP for McGill Redbirds (Bobby Bell Trophy, 2022-23, 2021-22)
  • A third-round draft choice by Montreal Canadiens in 2017, he has attended NHL rookie camps in Montreal (Aug., 2017)
