Kickstand Youth Network

Kickstand is for young people, and that means we want you to help us shape it.

In other words, we want Kickstand to be developed by and for young people. New opportunities to get engaged and involved in Kickstand are always popping up! This could include:

  • Providing input based on your experiences and expertise on various Kickstand programs and activities to transform how young people access health & wellness services in Alberta
  • Participating in public speaking and/or media opportunities. Training and support will be provided.
  • Working closely with Kickstand staff, families/caregivers, service providers, community partners, and government on various content/projects/initiatives
  • Collaborating with peers to identify and carry out youth specific projects based on everyone’s areas of interest

We’re looking for young leaders who:

  • Are 12-25yo from Alberta
  • Have lived/living experience of mental health and/or substance use challenges and/or experience accessing health and/or social services
  • Have diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences that represent the vibrant nature of young people in Alberta
  • Want to transform access to care, for improved health & wellness of their peers in Alberta
  • Are willing and able to attend virtual meetings & trainings
