Take on exciting challenges that will teach you all about the wastewater management issues that different generations have faced. Discover how the Youville Pumping Station works, test your knowledge, and work together as a team as you make your way through the 5 interactive stations!

Designed in 1913 and in operation until 1990, the Youville Pumping Station was the first wastewater pumping station in Montreal powered by electricity. It consists of ingenious machinery that has survived for a century in a remarkably preserved condition.

Go on a unique adventure with your family at this surprising heritage and industrial site to immerse yourself in the history of public health and the environment as you learn about this essential function for communities!
