Getting a COVID-19 vaccine and flu shot

If you are 6 months and older, you can receive the COVID-19 vaccine at the same time as, or at any time before or after the flu shot or other routine vaccinations.

Most pharmacies that offer vaccines will have both COVID-19 vaccines and flu shots available for people 2 years of age or older. Check with your pharmacy before you go.

Children 6 months to 2 years old must get their flu shot from:

  • a doctor
  • a nurse practitioner
  • a local public health unit
Children under 2 years old cannot get a flu shot at a pharmacy.
