Ottawa Public Health (OPH) Immunization Online Booking System at Community Clinics

 

Starting Tuesday, September 06, 2022, Ottawa Public Health (OPH) will resume routine immunization services for children aged 0-7 years who live in Ottawa and who are facing barriers in getting their routine immunizations in the community.

 

Ottawa Public Health (OPH) eligibility criteria: 

You are eligible to book an appointment if your child aged 7 years or younger, meets one of the following eligibility criteria: 

  • your child is a newcomer to Canada 
  • your child does not have an Ontario Health Card (OHIP) 
  • your child does not have a primary health care provider, such as a doctor or nurse practitioner 
  • your child is currently unable to access immunizations through their health care provider. 

Interval between the COVID-19 vaccine and other vaccines: 

For children aged 6 months to 5 years 

  • To be safe, we recommend waiting 14 days between a Covid vaccine and any other vaccine.  You can discuss with the nurse on site or call 613 580-6744 to speak with a nurse ahead of your appointment.

For children older than 5 years 

  • COVID-19 vaccines may be given at the same time as or at any time before or after non-COVID-19 vaccines (except Imvamune ®). To date, there have been no concerns about safety or the effectiveness of the vaccine. You can discuss with the nurse on site or call 613 580-6744 to speak with a nurse ahead of your appointment.

 

Where can my child receive immunizations? 

My child is 8 years old or older: 

  • Health Care Providers such as a family doctor or nurse practitioner 
  • Walk-in Clinics (call ahead to ensure vaccine is available) 

 Grade 7/8 students 

NOTE:School-based vaccines only include - Hepatitis B, Human Papillomavirus [HPV] and Meningococcal quadrivalent conjugate vaccines)

  • Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Polio, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) (2, 4, 6, 18 months) 
  • Pneumococcal conjugate (2, 4, 12 months)  
  • Rotavirus (2, 4, 6 months) 
  • Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) (12 months)  
  • Meningococcal conjugate-C (12 months) 
  • Varicella (Chickenpox) (15 months) 
  • Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, Polio (Tdap-Polio) (4-6 years old) 
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (MMR-V) (4-6 years old)

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 12:45pm-7:10pm 
Friday and Saturday: 9:45am-4:10pm 
Closed on Sundays and Mondays
