Bédélys Québec
Since 1999, it rewards the best comic book by a Québec artist published in Québec. It has a $ 1,000 grant, a copy of Antidote+ Personal and a unique trophy.
Jury
Composed of readers who work in the book industry, this jury includes, among others, librarians and booksellers, but also publishers and all other book professionals.
Selection criteria
For this category, the jury determines which comics are part of the selection. Here are the criteria used to determine the accepted works:
- Publication by a Quebec publishing house for an audience aged 14 and over
- Artists residing in Quebec, if there are several artists, at least one must be Quebecois
Bédélys Youth Québec
It rewards the best comic book for an audience aged 14 and under by a Québec artist published in Québec. It has a $ 1,000 grant, a copy of Antidote+ Personal and a unique trophy.

The francophone and anglophone independent Bédélys categories are the only two that operate by submission. It is the creators who must send their work in duplicate to the planned drop-off points. To be accepted a submission must meet the following criteria:
- Francophone self-publication
- Quebec resident artist
- A print version must exist, webcomics that are not published in print will not be eligible
- No artwork generated in whole or in parts by Artificial Intelligent (AI) will be accepted
Bédélys Independent Anglophone

Bédélys Youth
It rewards the best French-language comic book intended for young people aged 7 to 14 since 1999. The choices are based on the cumulative votes of several juries of young readers. The réseau des bibliothèques de la Ville de Montréal (City of Montreal library network) has sponsored the prize since 2000.
The winner receives a unique trophy.
Jury
Made up of young comic book enthusiasts who regularly visit one of the participating libraries in the réseau des bibliothèques de la Ville de Montréal. They are looked after by librarians who help them discuss and analyze the selected works.
The participating libraries for the 25e Bédélys Awards are: Père-Ambroise and Marc-Favreau.
Selection criteria
For this category, it is the librarians in charge of the juries who select a first reading list for young people. Here are the criteria used to determine the accepted works:
- Publication in French language including translations for an audience aged 7 to 14
- Distribution in Quebec
- Must not be part of a series, only the first volumes are considered
Bédélys International
Formerly called Bédélys World, the Bédélys International rewards the best French-language comic book published outside Quebec since 2012. This category, which makes it possible to discover and take a critical look at the best international comics, includes works that must be available in French in Quebec during the year preceding the awards ceremony.
The winner receives a unique trophy.
