Opening Ceremony

Friday, May 14, 3 pm PT | 4 pm MT | 5 pm CT | 6 pm ET | 7 pm AT (1.5 hours)

Join us for an uplifting ceremony as we open our weekend together with music, reflection, and community. As part of our Keeping it Alight service, we invite you to join us as we all light a candle together, symbolizing the gift of light we give one another.

The Conference Team, CUC Board and UU Ministers of Canada are looking forward to welcoming you with our virtual banner parade, and messages of love and faith.

The Opening Ceremony will be live-streamed on Zoom at http://bit.ly/OpeningCeremonyCUC and will be closed captioned.

Morning Reflection with Lay Chaplains

Saturday May 15, 8:30 am PT | 9:30 am, MT | 10:30 am CT | 11:30 am ET | 12:30 pm AT (1 hour)

"Don't Leave Your Cares at the Door"

We welcome you to gather with us as we tend to our fragile embers. Lay Chaplains and friends create a space to honour and give voice to the loss and difficulties of these days. Join us for a heartfelt ritual of song, meditation, readings, and sharing of what is in our hearts.

Memorial Wall

Visit our virtual Memorial Wall any time before or during the Conference. This place is provided to commemorate and honour a loved one, mark a loss or hold a light to a concern that is in your heart. This Wall will be included in the Saturday morning ritual led by the Lay Chaplains.

You can participate by leaving a comment on a Note or uploading a photo.

Two ministers are on call and available to support conference participants who may find themselves distressed or struggling with conflict or personal spiritual/emotional issues.

Sunday Multigenerational Worship Service

Sunday, May 16, 10 am PT| 11 am MT|12 pm CT|1 pm ET|2 pm AT (1.5 hours)

Now more than ever we need to be grounded in connection, in hope, and in love. As the cycles of the seasons teach us the gifts of the dark as well as the light, we still need energy -- a spark -- to fuel living into our aspirations and values no matter the season, the struggle, or the celebration. This Sunday service will celebrate how our UU faith and our connections are crucial to sustaining and amplifying that spark.

All are welcome to join us at our Sunday Worship Service.

The Sunday service will be live-streamed on Zoom at http://bit.ly/NationalWorshipMay16 (closed captioned), and on the CUC's YouTube Channel.

Youth and Young Adult Bridging Worship

Saturday, May 15, 3:30 pm PT|4:30 pm MT|5:30 pm CT|6:30 pm ET|7:30 pm AT (1 hour)

In this annual youth and young adult-led worship, we celebrate the many significant transitions of our lives, with a particular focus on those who are "bridging" from the youth to the young adult communities. Bridging is one of the unique rites of passage of our Unitarian Universalist faith. Conference attendees of all ages are invited to witness this important transition ceremony, and celebrate those who are bravely stepping from one phase of life to another.

Junior youth (12-13 year olds) may also bridge into youth community, and young adults who have reached the age of 35 may wish to bridge out of young adulthood. If you would like to be recognized in either of these ways, reach out to casey@cuc.ca.
