Why is KPR unique?

1. We have students attending KPR from three First Nations communities: Alderville First Nation, Hiawatha First Nation, and Curve Lake First Nation.

2. We have students attending KPR from two Métis communities: Peterborough Wapiti Métis Council and the Oshawa-Durham Métis Council.

3. We have students who identify as urban Indigenous who have moved here from other First Nation and Métis communities in North America.

43. We call upon federal, provincial, territorial, and municipal governments to fully adopt and implement the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples as the framework for reconciliation. 

44. We call upon the Government of Canada to develop a national action plan, strategies, and other concrete measures to achieve the goals of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
