2023-2024 Adult Day School Projected Course Offerings
Correspondence Online Self Directed Program
Correspondence courses are all online. You have until the end of June to complete the course work and exams (but please note that there is a 2 lesson per week submission maximum). You work at your own pace, and teachers are looking for 1-2 lessons submitted per week. There is a $60 fee/course payable through online banking, debit or credit. It takes 3-5 business days to get set up in a course. Complimentary Tutoring is available for all courses. Information will be emailed to you once you are fully registered.
23-24 Correspondence Course Selection Form for students
The schedule for the 2023 - 2024 Correspondence Calendar is as follows:
Start Date (Courses Open): September 11th, 2023
Last date to register: April, 12 2024
End Date (Courses Close): June 7, 2024 (this is the last date to submit lessons and please remember the 2 lesson per week submission maximum)
June 10th - June 21st - Reserved for final assessments only, no new assignments will be accepted
June 24 th All completed marks posted to D2L shells. If a student wishes to see their final mark, they can log in to their D2L shell between the 24th and the 26th.
June 26th D2L shells deactivated for the summer at 4 pm

Note: If you drop a grade 11 or 12 course after the midpoint your mark will show up on your transcript. Please consult with a guidance counsellor for pathway planning information and academic changes.
Credits@work
Credits@Work is a program that supports employees balancing school and work. It is an opportunity to earn co-op credits toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) while continuing to work.

School to Work Programs
Registration for all school to work programs requires the completion of a pre-registration form and then an intake/orientation session. See links below for details.
Culinary Arts Training - this certificate can be earned by registering in any 4 culinary day classes (course codes that begin with 'T' qualify as culinary cousres, and completing a 2 credit co-op afterwards. Please use the Term Day Class registration above to select the culinary course you would like to take.
Summer School:
Summer School (offered online in an e-learning format, July 2-26)
You can choose 1 course for the summer.
There is no fee for summer school.
Summer School Online Learning (require 6 hours of online course work a day)
Deadlines must be met, but there are no set class times

International Languages (IL)- Secondary Credit Program
International Language Credit Courses are offered at three different locations and times during the week. They are also offered at different levels; please choose your course selection carefully.

POST SECONDARY INFORMATION SESSIONS

At any time in the school year, if you are completing your last course at St. Louis and will be graduating please let us know to put your gradated transcript together by completing the Intent to Graduate Form found on the website tab: Student Forms.
Remember that there is a Requirement to complete Literacy (take the course OLC4O) and Community Service hours (see form on the Student forms tab) in order to graduate.
101 University Applications have an equal consideration due date of Jan 15th. You can still apply after this date, but some programs will be closed to applications. You do not have to have finished all the course requirements to start your application
College applications have a due date of Feb 1st for equal consideration. You can still complete an application after this date, but some programs will be closed to applications. If you came to St. Louis with less than 26 credits you may be eligible for PLAR credits based on your work and life experiences. Please contact your guidance counsellor for the application form.
Check the employment resources tab on the student portal for job postings from Employment Ontario agencies. There are some great training programs listed there as well. Check the Ray of Hope link for free training and other paid employment opportunities.

Use the WCDSB My Apps for logging into everything; it is a single sign on (SSO). https://www.wcdsb.ca/students/ Click on the Brightspace by D2L icon in My applications.
Email login: add @wcdsb.ca to the end of your assigned username.
Password: mmddyyyy (your birthdate)
If you receive a "change password prompt", you are now supposed to do this (and remember your new password)
If you changed your password and have forgotten it, do not attempt to reset it - please contact your teacher.
