Now accepting nominations for 2023-24
Faculty members, staff, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers may nominate LLE speakers. Submitting a nomination takes less than 5 mins and you may submit multiple nominations. The deadline is Fri Mar 31.
LLE with Marianthi Ierapetritou
The LLE on Wed Mar 8 from 12-1PM in WB116, will be given by Marianthi Ierapetritou from the University of Delaware. Her talk is titled, Process Systems Engineering Approaches Towards Sustainable Solutions: Path to Circular Economy.
ChemE GRADitude Campaign
Contributions to the ChemE GRADitude Campaign will help support our students' Iron Ring Party on Sat Mar 4. The deadline to donate is TODAY! For auction items, please drop off to Jen Hsu in WB257 by 2PM TODAY.
NSSE now open!
First- and senior-year undergrads, please participate in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). Students who complete the survey by Sun May 14 will be automatically entered in a random draw for prizes.

Final Oral Exam

Delineating the Interaction Between Liposomes and the Tumour Microenvironment
ChemE PhD student Jessica Wan-Yan Ngai (supervised by Warren Chan) will be giving her final PhD oral exam TODAY at 2PM both in person and through Zoom. The in-person talk will take place in WB215. The Zoom meeting ID is 890 5733 7427 and passcode is 24845. Her talk is titled, Delineating the Interaction Between Liposomes and the Tumour Microenvironment.

The inaugural HealthyU Crew Mental Health Fair will be held on Wed Mar 8 from 11AM to 2PM at Sidney Smith hosted by Health & Wellness. Come learn more about all the services and programming that help support student mental health.

Midwest Terminal
The application deadline of Tue Mar 14 for the Midwest Terminal is fast approaching. The Midwest Terminal is a games-based AI challenge, where players code strategies to automate gameplay, and top performing students have the opportunity to win $15,000 in cash prizes along with exclusive recruiting opportunities with Citadel (both internships and full-time roles). The events are completely free and invite only.

Faculty position at the University of Saskatchewan
Applications are invited from qualified individuals for a full-time, tenure-track Academic Programming (AP) faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, College of Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. The anticipated start date is Sat Jul 1.

Share your thoughts on climate change
Helen Newton, a student in EngSci, is completing her thesis on engineering students and their thoughts on climate change. Her research includes a survey for undergraduate students, which takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and is anonymous. If you’re willing to participate, please complete the survey.

The Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social work is pleased to present a public lecture by Dr. Delores Mullings, Professor and Vice-Provost, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism at Memorial University, and lead editor of the book Africentric Social Work.
