Nature for Newcomers

Getting to know the Valley in all Seasons 2023 Series

We are so pleased to see Newcomers from around the world join us in the beautiful Annapolis Valley. As a way of saying welcome, we want to show you some of our favourite outdoor spaces and get to know you through shared nature activities. Whether you are single, coupled or in a family and regardless where you have arrived from, you are welcome to join us. And if you’re from here and would like to welcome newcomers, you can join us too!

After a successful pilot in 2021, we are continuing our Nature for Newcomers event series through 2023, and hopefully beyond. About once a month we plan and lead nature outings and outdoor activities to help you embrace all this region has to offer. We’ll show you new spaces, introduce you to new people and support you as you try new activities. If you are new to the Annapolis Valley, this program is for you. Join us as many times as you like.

Transportation support available – All ages encouraged – Pay what you can
