Victoria, BC – Investigators are asking for witnesses or those with CCTV footage to come forward after a person was stabbed multiple times in the 1500-block of Quadra Street this morning.

B.C. Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) contacted VicPD just before 4:30 a.m. stating that they were responding to a call that a person had been stabbed multiple times.

Officers arrived and located the victim with multiple stab wounds that were wrapped in improvised dressings. The victim initially refused medical treatment and indicated they did not want to speak with officers. BC EHS paramedics arrived and, with the assistance of officers, were able to convince the victim to let them see where they had been stabbed. Paramedics discovered the victim had multiple stab wounds to the arms and chest and required immediate emergency medical treatment.

The victim refused medical treatment, despite their potentially life-threatening injuries. Officers apprehended the victim and BC EHS paramedics transported them to hospital for medical treatment. Their injuries are now considered non-life-threatening.

This incident remains under investigation.
