There's More to Comics Than You Might Think - A Talk by Dr. Marni Stanley

There's More to Comics Than You Might Think - A Talk by Dr. Marni Stanley In-Person

Do you love graphic novels and comics?

Get ready to dive into the vibrant world of graphic narratives! Join us Monday, March 11th at 12pm at VIU Library in Nanaimo for a lively discussion with Dr. Marni Stanley about the graphic narrative genre. She generously donated a large collection of titles to VIU Library earlier this year covering gender, health, autobiography, and 2SLGBTQ+ Studies.

This is an important, progressive and relatively rare corpus of material within the academic library context, and is one of the most valuable in-kind donations ever received. The collection can be found on the main floor just past the service desk.

Dr. Stanley is the retired Dean of Arts and Humanities and a former English professor at VIU and we are thrilled to welcome her back to campus.
