Supervisor Safety

This course is tailored for individuals in supervisory roles or those aspiring to become supervisors. It also serves as a valuable resource for employers seeking clarity on supervisor expectations about occupational health and safety.

Workplace Disability Management

This course provides supervisors, managers, directors and executives on Prince Edward Island with guidance for creating, planning, implementing, and evaluating Work Disability Prevention Programs.

This course provides employers, supervisors, and workers in Prince Edward Island with the essential knowledge to effectively identify, assess, and control workplace hazards. Participants will learn to prioritize risks associated with each hazard, select suitable controls and foster a safe work environment. Implementing an effective hazard assessment system minimizes risks, enhances compliance, and ensures a sustained commitment to workplace safety. 

This course provides employers, supervisors, and workers on Prince Edward Island with information to establish an effective Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee. Establishing this committee is a legal requirement in PEI for all workplaces with 20 or more workers. This course offers guidance on how to establish a new committee, how a committee functions and how it can be most effective. It introduces course participant to the roles and responsibilities of a committee and its members.

This course provides supervisors on Prince Edward Island with essential knowledge to fulfill their workplace health and safety responsibilities and acknowledges their additional role in safeguarding workers’ well-being and keeping the workplace safe. This course is tailored for individuals in supervisory roles or those aspiring to become supervisors. It also serves as a valuable resource for employers seeking clarity on supervisor expectations.

This course provides supervisors, managers, directors and executives on Prince Edward Island with guidance for creating, planning, implementing, and evaluating Work Disability Prevention Programs. Workplace disability creates disengagement in the workplace, substantial losses in productivity, and costs Canadian employers billions of dollars annually. Workplaces can effectively address these issues and eliminate some of the hardships associated with work disability and absenteeism.

This course is tailored for young workers on Prince Edward Island. A young worker is defined as anyone under the age of 24. Generally, inexperienced young workers are more likely to get hurt on the job than more experienced workers. This course provides essential knowledge and skills to safely navigate workplace hazards. From understanding rights and responsibilities to practical hazard identification and control measures, young workers will gain the confidence and competence needed to prioritize safety in any work environment.
