COVID-19 Testing & Attending Campus

COVID-19 Testing & Attending Campus
This has been compiled as a summary reference for College community members for information surrounding COVID-19 testing and College procedures that
need to be followed. Ottawa Public Health references are linked throughout the text and should be referenced for full context.

COVID-19 Symptoms: Classic symptoms include feeling feverish, new or worsening cough and/or difficulty breathing. Other symptoms may include sore throat,
difficulty swallowing, new olfactory (smell) or taste disorder(s), nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, pneumonia, runny nose*, or nasal congestion (in the
absence of underlying reason for these symptoms such as seasonal allergies and post-nasal drip).

Close Contacts: A “close contact” is a person who has been in near physical proximity to a person who has tested positive for COVID-19. The close nature of the
interaction and the duration of the interaction are important factors. Interactions where people briefly come within 2 metres (6 feet) of each other, such as
walking by someone on the sidewalk, are generally not considered close contacts.
