The FortisBC Energy Champions program is designed specifically for children in kindergarten through grade seven, emphasizing the importance of environmental responsibility and being an ‘Energy Champion’. From January through April, the Energy Champions program was presented at 80 elementary schools located throughout the province of British Columbia.

KEEP THE HEAT IN YOUR HOME

We all get excited about the CFL draft, but there’s one draft you don’t want—a cold one in your home! To help keep out drafts, place a door sock at the bottom of your front and back doors.

TURN DOWN THE HEAT

Remember to turn down the thermostat to 17 °C before you go to bed and when you’re out to help save on home heating costs.

TAKE SHORTER SHOWERS

We all know someone who spends a long time in the shower! Why not ask them to shorten their showers by one to three minutes to help save hot water.
