Statement From the Director graphic with BWDSB logoLike so many, I am deeply saddened and shocked by recent tragic events that have occurred.

On behalf of Bluewater District School Board, I would like to send condolences and thoughts to the families, friends, and all those impacted by student deaths that occurred this summer, including a student who passed away last week in a swimming incident.  These losses resonate through the entire school community as they will be greatly missed by many peers, friends, educators, and other school staff.

Our hearts also go out to the family and friends of an Owen Sound business owner and parent in our board, who succumbed to injuries resulting from a senseless assault.  Bluewater District School Board stands in solidarity with the many members of our community who are expressing sadness and outrage following this incident and loss.  We condemn such a horrendous act of violence in our community, or any other community.

Please join us in keeping these individuals and their loved ones in our thoughts at this extremely difficult time.
