MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Serb Hall's popular dine-in fish fry is back!

Beginning Friday, Feb. 17, Serb Hall's fish fry will be available for dine-in or take out at the drive-thru and carry-out window on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The fish fry will be available from 3:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. every Friday (dine-in or drive thru), plus on Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. (drive thru only) during Lent beginning on Feb. 22.

"We are an integral part of Milwaukee and the south side. So, to be able to reopen again and have our customers come in and enjoy a fish fry that they are well accustomed to makes us all really feel good," Serb Hall President Walt Ninkovich said.

The main-stay menu features:

  • Serb Hall’s Classic Icelandic Fish Fry: 2 or 3-piece original deep-fried block/square cut cod dinner served with a choice potato (french fries, garlic mashed or Serbian potato salad), Serb Hall coleslaw and salted marble rye bread w/butter.
  • Serb Hall’s Traditional Fish Fry (deep-fried, baked or Serbian style): 2 or 3-piece of hand breaded cod dinner, with a choice potato (french fries, garlic mashed or Serbian potato salad) Serb Hall coleslaw, salted marble rye bread w/butter, fresh lemon and tartar sauce.

Serb Hall is donating $1 from every meal served on Wednesdays through Lent to the Milwaukee Police Association in memory of Fallen Officer Peter Jerving.

"We just wanted to show our appreciation for the things that all the men and women in blue do for the city," Ninkovich said.

Serb Hall is located at 5101 W. Oklahoma Avenue in Milwaukee. For more information, CLICK HERE
