Climate Bonds is delighted to announce Climate Bonds CONNECT 2022, its seventh annual conference series, where the world’s foremost investors, asset owners, governments, regulators, and thought leaders come together to face the biggest challenges in sustainable finance. Registration is free and now open to take part in the biggest event in sustainable finance of 2022.
Under the theme ‘Mobilising $5Trillion of Climate Bonds per year by 2025’ this year’s Climate Bonds Global Conference will form part of our Climate Bonds CONNECT series of events held in regions around the world. Benefitting from a hybrid (online and in-person) format, top speakers, thought leaders, decision-makers and influencers will discuss the challenges and current trends that shape the future of green finance in emerging and developed markets.
In addition to the global conference in London on 22 October, Climate Bonds CONNECT will feature regional seminars in Asia Pacific – Singapore (6 October 2022), Latin America & Caribbean - Mexico City (29/30 November and 1 December 2022), and North America – New York (8 December 2022). These seminars combine the power of world-class in-person events with the reach and flexibility of online participation to drive the sustainable climate finance agenda forward.
Hope in an era of volatility
The challenges that the world is facing can be daunting — rising temperatures, energy crises, environmental degradation, and a petrostate war all threaten the progress that the world has made.
We must act with urgency, but there is also reason to be optimistic. The shape of the future has already been decided, and it will be green. Around the globe, economies are shifting to low carbon industries and working to become climate resilient. The only question that remains is how quickly we can facilitate this crucial transition.
At Climate Bonds Connect 2022, the foremost thought leaders and decision makers will come together to discuss how the sustainable finance market can facilitate a rapid, complete transition to a green future, and to demonstrate how, even in the face of the world’s many challenges, there is reason to hope.
A global series of world-class events
The global conference event will be held in London on 20 October 2022. It will be preceded by a Training Day on Wednesday, 19 October, and will bring together thought leaders, decision-makers, and influencers from around the world to discuss the most pressing issues in the sustainable finance sector. The entire conference will be available online through a hybrid event platform. Registration is free and open now.
Regional seminars will also take place across the globe, focusing on regional market development and opportunities for the private sector and governments around the world to address the climate crisis.
