Spirit Garden Project

Opening in Nathan Phillips Square in 2024, the Spirit Garden will be a place for Teaching, Learning, Sharing, and Healing The Spirit Garden will be a dynamic and accessible Indigenous cultural space representative of Tkaronto and its history.

The site will be open to the multi-cultural communities of the City, along with its diverse national and international visitors and newcomers. Programming at the Spirit Garden will celebrate our unique identities while promoting an understanding between all.

Indigenous Legacy Gathering

Indigenous Legacy Gathering is an event that truly honours and appreciates the rich diversity of our indigenous cultures. Open to the public, this gathering is not only a celebration but also an enlightening educational experience.

It’s an avenue where stories, teachings, and the vibrant traditions of our people are shared and appreciated through workshops, presentations, dance, film, and music.

Youth Gathering

It is an vibrant event that empowers and showcases the rich cultural diversity of our young indigenous community. This event, open to the public and free of charge, offers a unique platform for our youth to share and celebrate their heritage through workshops, presentations, stories, teachings, dances, film, and music.

This gathering serves as a crucial opportunity to engage with, learn from, and appreciate the contributions of our young generation. It highlights their profound connection to creation and the enduring friendship they continue to extend to the world.

How do we impact Toronto's Aboriginal community?

Toronto Council Fire Native Cultural Centre is one of many Aboriginal service providers in the Greater Toronto Area that work together to address the social, health, education, economic and cultural needs of the Toronto urban Aboriginal population.

On an annual basis we interact with over 200,000 clients made up of youth ,adults, seniors and families who are established in the community or in transition. While the majority of our team come from various First Nation communities within this region and country, other team members are made up of a diverse, talented universal nationalities.

This gathering serves as a crucial opportunity to engage with, learn from, and appreciate the contributions of our young generation. It highlights their profound connection to creation and the enduring friendship they continue to extend to the world.
