ERA’s Scholarship – Win up to $10,000 

Are you eligible?

Must be a full -time/part-time student in Canada. If you are outside our operating areas (Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, and Montreal) please contact [email protected] for more information.

What are we looking for?

We need you to come up with a marketing plan and host an e-waste collection event in your area. You will manage every detail of this event from the planning and promoting to the execution! We want to see how creative students can get with marketing the event and reaching out to your community and local businesses to ensure the event is well attended. How will you implement your ideas to raise awareness and get your networks involved? After you have followed through with the event, the team at ERA will evaluate your work and pick the winner!

What items do we accept?

Cell phones, tablets, laptops, computers, servers, monitors, networking equipment, and similar electronics for donation to charities and non-profits across Canada.

Where should you promote this event?

Promote this event at your School, at a Business, in a Community Centre, your local Mall, or an idea of your own.

When should you start?

This competition will start on September 1st and run until December 31st, 2020.

How will the winner be decided?

The winner will be decided on the quantity and quality of equipment collected and the exposure the event received through online and offline marketing platforms.

What do you do about marketing material for the event?

ERA will provide each candidate with employees, trucks, and equipment such as a banner, cage, and logo. The rest is up to you.

Why is ERA holding this competition?

ERA like to get the community involved in many ways throughout the year. This competition gives students to opportunity to gain experience and if they are lucky enough to win this scholarship would be a great help financially with schooling.

  3. 3rd place: $3,000 (Includes Mac Book Pro and 3 laptops for charity)
  4. $1,000 (Includes Mac Book Pro and 3 laptops for charity)
  5. $1,000 (Includes Mac Book Pro and 3 laptops for charity)

Rules and Guidelines

  1. The competition is open to students who reside within Canada.
  2. You may enter the competition on September 1st, 2020, and final results need to be in by December 31st, 2020.
  3. No purchase is necessary to enter the competition. There are methods of entry applicable to this competition, as follows:
  • Plan, Promote and Execute an e-waste collection event
  • Submit your application to ERA’s marketing manager
  • Share your event on social media through your accounts using #ERA and #ERAsewastecollection on your posts
  • Mention ERA by tagging us in your post

  1. ERA will announce the winners of this scholarship in January 2021 on our social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter).
  2. ERA will contact the winners of this scholarship. If the winner does not answer within a week they will be disqualified.
  3. If you win the competition, you will be tagged in all communication related to the scholarship.
  4. If you enter, ERA will own the rights to all marketing material submitted and can use these marketing materials as they wish.
